I slaved over this all day yesterday - March 6th. Those of you following me on twitter will know, as I was constnatly tweeting about how large the file was getting, and how slow photoshop was becoming.
For this assignment, we were supposed to take a piece of work from one medium (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc) and make it into another medium.
Most people made an exact replica of their piece, only, in a new medium. So, if someone picked a painted portrait for their original, they drew or sculpted it directly as they saw it. I thought that was a little boring, so I just used my original piece of inspiration ([link]) and made it into my own. Stylistically, it was inspired by Scott Hansen.
I'm quite pleases with the turn out.
Done in Photoshop and Illustrator. 24"x36" - 10 hours of work.

If you want to see some of the layouts/ideas I didn't use for this poster, click here: [link] - None of those are complete, they're just layouts I went through, before I reached the final version you see above. They're placed in order from earliest to latest.
